Dr. Gonzalez is also Board Certified in Anesthesia and highly trained in all aspects of anesthesia. He has performed over 15,000 moderate to deep sedation and general anesthesia cases. For the last 10 years he's concentrated solely on full arch surgery (All on X) procedure, especially the severe bone loss cases requiring special techniques like zygomatic, pterygoid and trans nasal implants. He’s one of the most experienced zygomatic and pterygoid specialists in the world. Dr Gonzalez also travels nationally and internationally lecturing and teaching advanced dental implant techniques. Dr Gonzalez is also the head of surgery for ORCAA global, one of the most comprehensive full arch training in the world. He has developed many treatment protocols like the PATZi protocol and contributed chapters to several books and journals.
Dr. Juan Gonzalez was born in Spain and raised in Puerto Rico. After finishing dental school, he completed a one year hospital based General Practice Residency and was commissioned as an officer in the United States Army. While in the Army, Dr. Gonzalez completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency training at Brooke Army Medical Center. He attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and after 12 years of active duty Army, he transferred to the Air Force Reserves where he retired with over 20 years of combined service. While in the Air Force, Dr Gonzalez served as the Chief of Professional Services, directly supervising 6 physicians and was faculty of the oral and maxillofacial surgery program. He's also been a highly sought educator helping train dozens of surgery residents and dentists all over the world.
When not taking care of patients, Dr. Gonzalez remains active by traveling with his wife and three daughters, flying his plane, shooting, hunting, wakeboarding, running marathons barefoot and drinking wine with friends.
